Haddam Neck VFC, Haddam Neck, Ct.

Chief Bob McGarry, Committee Chair Tom Danaher and the members of the Haddam Neck VFC recently took delivery of this 2010 4-Guys pumper.  The truck features a Spartan Gladiator chassis, Cummins 500 hp ISM engine, Hale QMAX 1500 GPM Pump, 1000 water and 20 Gallon foam tanks.  The body features 4-Guys ALL STAINLESS construction, 45” tall compartments with pullout steps to facilitate access to the ladders and suctions.  As Haddam Neck is close by the Connecticut River, a 25’ “Squirrel Length” of suction shoes has been installed on the driver’s side, and a 6” vertical swivel suction on the bumper.  Also included are a 6000 Watt Wil-Burt Nightscan Command Light on a 15’ mast, (protected by a custom built shroud) and an electronic remotely controlled deck gun.

The truck was delivered in August of 2010, and replaced a 1985 Mack Pumper.
